Frequently Asked Questions
What is Direct Primary Care?
Direct Primary Care or DPC is a model of healthcare delivery offering old-fashioned benefits to patients without the red tape and overhead structure of traditional practice. In a DPC the patient comes first. It is a first in Casper but is becoming more and more common around the country as people realize the benefits of moving toward a traditional relationship and access to your doctor.

Do you accept our insurance?
No. Not accepting insurance (Medicaid, Medicare, private insurance) is what allows for the access and greatly reduced overhead costs of a DPC practice. It also allows me to pass on savings of wholesale medications and lab prices to my patients.
Do I need insurance as your patient?
Yes. I recommend all my patients carry insurance to cover diagnostic, specialty, surgical and emergency health care needs.
Can I still use my insurance (Medicaid or Medicare)?
Yes. Currently insurance does not reimburse for DPC. As a Medicare patient you and I will need to sign a one-time waiver stating that we will not utilize Medicare for my services. I can still refer and you may use your Medicare for all of the same services outside of my practice as you always have.
Can I use my HSA funds for membership?
Yes. The use of HSA funds to pay for DPC membership is now available thanks to legislation passed recently.
How will I transfer my records?
At registration a release of records form will be completed and your former provider will then forward your records here.
Where will I get labs and imaging?
I will continue to refer to the provider of your choice for these services as I always have. Certain providers will offer wholesale pricing and I will share those prices with you.

A Direct Primary Care Solution
We intend to counter local trends by providing patient-centered primary health care. This will improve the doctor-patient experience by using the technology and services we have at our fingertips. Furthermore, I want to help my patients be engaged in their overall health and wellness. Over time these efforts can lower the overall cost of primary care and healthcare in general.
And I explain what this means to me personally on the About Me page.
